Sports have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised in Nowy Sącz, Poland, where athletics were a way of life in my family — my father was a professional soccer player, and my mother was a professional volleyball player. Their passion, discipline, and dedication shaped who I am long before I ever stepped onto a tennis court.
At just four years old, I was already spending hours in the gym watching my mother train and compete. By age six, I began playing tennis at Szkoła Tenisa Grzegorza Jerzego in Nowy Sącz, and by seven I was competing in tournaments. Tennis quickly became more than a sport — it became a lifelong passion that taught me discipline, resilience, confidence, and the value of hard work.
When I moved to the United States at fourteen, I continued competing in both tennis and volleyball while adapting to a new country and culture. Those experiences strengthened my determination and reinforced a belief I still carry today: challenges create opportunities for growth.
